Personal Health Clinic Tokyo offers screening tests and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases, including gonorrhea, chlamydia, mycoplasma/ureaplasma, syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, genital herpes and genital warts. Testing can be done anonymously and results are reported via [LINE app], [E-mail], telephone, or in person.

Please not that the tests related to STD screening are not covered by National Health Insurance.

The tests are available both in-house rapid tests and lab tests that are reported after 2days (tests done in the labs offer more sensitivity and specificity)

The prices for the tests available are as follows:

1. Gonorrhea 4,500yen

2. Chlamydia 4,500yen

3. Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma 9,000yen

4. Syphilis 5,000yen

5. HIV 5,000yen

6. Hepatitis B/C 5,000yen

7. Genital herpes 6,000yen

8. Genital Warts (HPV test) 7,000 yen

There are SET MENUs available for the above tests when done in combinations.

You will at first consult the doctor for the most appropriate tests for your symptoms and will be guided accordingly. Some tests have window period whereby the tests may show negative results despite infection.

Treatments are also done in-house. For gonorrhea, chlamydia, mycoplasma/ureaplasma and syphilis, appropriate antibiotics are given once the results turn positive, or the doctor decides that the treatment is necessary.

For HIV, the screening test is done, and once the test turns positive, a confirmatory test is recommended. If positive, referral to a hospital with the specialist can be made for further evaluation and treatment.

We also offer HIV nPEP (non-occupational post-exposure prophylaxis), and we also offer PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis).
